The Heb occurrence is located on the eastern slopes of Trio Mountain, approximately 900 metres west of the Heber River and 12 kilometres northeast of the town of Gold River.

The area is underlain by massive green porphyritic basalt of the Upper Triassic Karmutsen Formation (Vancouver Group). A stock of the Early to Middle Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite disrupts the strata to the immediate northwest of the showings.

Locally, blebs of pyrite and chalcopyrite occur within highly epidotized basalt. Quartz vein float containing blebs and fracture coatings of chalcopyrite and malachite were also reported.

The Heb showing was discovered in 1970 by Silver Standard Ltd. during a geochemical silt survey.

In 1984, James McDonald and John Kerr completed a small prospecting program of silt and rock sampling on the Heb claims. In 1984, a sample (H-03) assayed 0.107 per cent copper and negligible amounts of gold and silver. Previous sampling, in 1976, is reported to have yielded 10.85 per cent copper, 12.0 grams per tonne gold and 42.9 grams per tonne silver over 1 metre from a bornite pod (Assessment Report 14551).

In 1993, Orvana Minerals Corp. conducted moss mat, soil and rock sampling. Sample 209335 assayed 1.06 grams per tonne gold, 2.9 grams per tonne silver and 0.53 per cent copper (Assessment Report 23547).

In 1994, Orvana Minerals Corp. completed an exploration program of moss mat, soil and rock sampling. Highlights of the sampling program include chip sample VI-PL-22, which assayed 2.8 per cent copper and 7.9 grams per tonne silver over 0.8 metre (Assessment Report 24090).

In 2011, Universal Ventures Inc. combined the Vanhall (MINFILE 092E 050), Heb and Tibor claims into one property, renamed the Tib property, and completed an airborne geophysics survey and small sampling program.

In 2012, Universal Ventures Inc. completed geophysical surveys, prospecting, mapping and chip sampling on the Tib property.

In 2018 an interpretive study was conducted on the Trio property by tenure holder K. Galambos. The study included air photo and geophysical interpretation as well as historical research and limited prospecting on the area surrounding Trio Mountain (Assessment Report 38109).
